Description
The Suck It Up Buttercup 5K course starts and finishes near the pavilion just south of the Truman Scarborough Way entrance of the Chain of Lakes.
The course is a combination of cross-county (approximately 0.35 miles on a well maintained trail) and asphalt trails (Pedways). Stunningly beautiful yet still utilitarian, Chain of Lakes Park is 92.14 acres of wetlands, lakes and sports venues. The home of ospreys, gulls and other waterfowl, this "working park" features walking trails, bird watching tower and connected lakes, as well as eight lighted soccer fields and three youth and four adult lighted softball fields, plus concessions and new indoor restrooms.
