2015 Finish Strong 5K:

• The 3rd annual Finish Strong 5K Run takes place in the city of Huron, California, the “cornucopia” of the San Joaquin Valley. Fight the fight, run the race! Life is like a race. The Coalinga-Huron Recreation & Park District partners together with local businesses and organizations to bring family and friends together, to ignite a passion for the community of Huron, and ultimately help Huron "finish strong!" The race begins at the Huron Branch Library and continues down Palmer Ave. A small stretch of the course takes runners on a dirt path with agriculture land to the left. After a U-turn on 9th St, runners are redirected around Chesnut Park, Huron Elementary School, and back to the finish line on O Street in front of the Library. In it's first year, the race attracted 120 participants, and last year the number climbed to 200 participants. We anticipate upwards of 250 runners for this year's Color Run! After the death of our dear friend Jackie Navarro, we take the time to celebrate and remember the color she brought to the communities of both Huron and Coalinga. The race will be officially timed by RTS Timing Systems
