Description

2015 :

• The T-6 Texan Trot is a timed sanctioned/chipped run on the runways and taxiways of Sherman Field, where the Blue Angels are stationed! Throughout the run, participants will have the opportunity to see various aircraft and run down the actual runway. All participants who beat The Texan (the race mascot) will receive a special award.

• After the race, runners will be rewarded for their hard work with a post-race party and food. The run will raise money for the Air Force Assistance Fund and 455th Flying Training Squadron Booster Club.

• The race will be open to DOD cardholders and those with a DOD cardholder sponsor. There will be a 1500 participant cap.

• Participants can pick up their race packets and T-shirts at the National Naval Aviation Museum on Friday, April 24th from 1200-1700 and on race day from 0600-0730.

• Race will begin at 0800 CST.
• Please bring your ID card to present when you pick up your packet.

Course Info

• The run will start behind the National Naval Aviation Museum in the "Bone Yard". Upon departing the Bone Yard ramp the run will transit both runways 01/19 & 07/25 as well as taxiways 'A' & 'B' on Sherman Field. The run concludes back at the starting area where runners will again get the opportunity to transit the holding area for future museum restoration projects.
