2015 Hayden's Hope Glow For Hope 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run:

• The Hayden's Hope Glow for Hope 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run are events to raise awareness and funds for Friedreich's Ataxia Research. This is the fourth year the Hayden's Hope organization has held running events in Mason City to support Hayden Despenas and those suffering from FA.

• The 5K is a timed, out and back race that begins in Central Park in downtown Mason City, Iowa. The 1 Mile Fun Run follow at 9:00 PM is also an out and back run/walk for people of all ages.

• A street dance will follow the running events with music, food and other activities for the entire family! T-shirts and glow gear are included in the cost of the 5K and will also be available for purchase.

Course Info

• The 5k and 1 Mile are both out and back races beginning and endeing in Central Park in Downtown Mason City, Iowa.

• The race is on State Street running past hisorical landmarks and beautiful scenery, including East Park and Prairie Playgound.

• The 5K is a timed event.

Directions

Mason City is located in North Central Iowa just 9 miles east of Clear Lake off I35. It is located directly between Des Moines and Minneapolis. The Glow for Hope event takes place in the middle of town on the corner of Federal Avenue and State Street.
