Our Mission

We believe running empowers people.  It is the mission of the Lone Star Half Marathon and Mayor’s 5K to provide a competitive running event for people of mixed abilities. Whether you are an elite able-bodied runner, a back of the pack run/walker, or are intellectually or physically disabled, we believe that the road is open to everyone.

The Courses
The Lone Star Half Marathon and Mayor’s 5K will start and finish at the Levitt Pavilion in downtown Arlington. The race will then take the runners north to the entertainment district, through Lincoln Square, past THR Arlington Memorial Hospital, and loop them around the
beautiful campus of The University of Texas at Arlington. Runners will truly get a tour of “The American Dream City.”

                            Registration - 5:30 am
                            Half Marathon - 6:30 am
                            5k - 7:15 am
                            Ability Walk - 9:30 am
                        Awards and After Party- 8:00 am
