GO Run

• GO Run 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles
• GO Run 1 Mile:- Run 1 Mile

 - Join us for the eighth-annual “GO” for Gynecologic Oncology, a 5K and one mile Fun Run/Walk presented by Catranis Family Charitable Foundation, will be held September 19th at the University of South Alabama Moulton Tower & Alumni Plaza to benefit gynecologic cancer research at the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute (MCI).  The 5K will begin at 8:00 am and fun run at 9:00 am. 

The event will include prizes, music, vendor booths, food, and children’s activities.  New twist to the GO RUN this year will be Dunk the Doctors.  MCI patients and Facebook friends will be given the opportunity to cast their vote on which one of MCI’s wonderful gynecologic oncologist they would like to see dunked in a dunking booth on race day. 

Families, schools, corporations and friends are encouraged to form teams of six or more to participate.   Each team will be eligible to win awards for a variety of categories for example team with most members, most spirited team, best dressed team, and many more.  Individual awards will also be given in all age categories.  

Event details and schedule

• Packet pick-up will be on Friday, September 18th at the Mitchell Center (5950 Old Shell Rd.) from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.  If you are unable to pick up your packet on Friday, you may do so on event day starting at 6:30 am.  
• Day of registration will begin at 6:30 am
• The 5K will begin at 8:00 am and 1 mile fun run will follow at 9:00 am
• Don't forget to bring some money for the GO Run merchadise tent
