Big Gay 10K, a Run & Walk to Fight AIDS

• Big Gay 10K, a Run & Walk to Fight AIDS:- Run 6.2 Miles

The fifth annual Big Gay 10K, a Run & Walk to Fight AIDS, will take place in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on the morning of Sunday, October 11, 2015.

Participants have two route options: 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) or 10 kilometers (6.2 miles). Each has it’s own start time and the timed results of each participant will be posted at the end of each event. 

Big Gay 10K is produced by San Francisco AIDS Foundation, and all proceeds go directly to the foundation’s life-saving HIV prevention and care services.

Over 16,000 people come to San Francisco AIDS Foundation for free HIV and STI testing, peer support, harm reduction counseling, access to sterile syringes, housing and benefits counseling, medical case management, and more.

Since 1982, San Francisco AIDS Foundation has been a community leader in education, advocacy and direct services so that we can reduce the number of new HIV infections and help those living with HIV to live healthy, productive lives.

BIKE: Bike parking is located directly behind the Bandshell on Music Concourse Drive.

DRIVE: Visitors can access the Music Concourse pay-per-hour parking garage on the north side of the park from 10th Avenue and Fulton Street or from John F. Kennedy Drive in front of the de Young Museum. The garage is open from 7:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily.

RIDE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: The #44-O'Shaughnessy bus stops across from the California Academy of Sciences at the Music Concourse on Tea Garden Drive (southbound) and in front of Cal Academy on Music Concourse Drive (northbound).

The #5-Fulton stops at 8th Avenue and Fulton Street, just outside the park. From 8th Avenue, walk into the park and turn right on John F. Kennedy Drive. Then turn left onto Music Concourse Drive.

Before the event: $50 or $75 with the signature Big Gay 10K tank top
Day of the event: $60 and $85 with the Big Gay 10K tank top

All participants must be registered and checked-in by 8:00 a.m. on race day.
