Hell's Furnace 5K & 10K

• 10K:- Run 6.2 Miles
• 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles

The Hell's Furnace is like no other 5 or 10K you have ever run. It is not for the faint of heart. Hell's Furnace is a self supported race that is run in the scenic Rillito wash during the summer at the hottest part of the day. Expect temperatures well over 100 degrees. Both distances will be run on the same course. Depending on the amount of participants, the start times may vary (tentatively both 5K &10K are set to start at 2pm). You will not set any records on this course. As a matter of fact there will be a one hour cutoff for the 5K and a two hour cutoff for the 10K. If you cannot run a road 5K in under a half hour or a road 10K in under an hour, you should not register for this race. As of right now, no official awards will be given (subject to change). If you want an award for finishing this race, then this may not be the race for you. Be safe. Be smart. Have fun.

Event details and schedule

Parking will be at 4502 North 1st Avenue (parking lot near the Loop River walk). A public restroom is near the parking lot along the river walk.

Remember, this is an unsupported race. Bring plenty of WATER (camelback type water bladders are recommended), sunscreen and big hats for shade.

Family members and friends are allowed to follow you or stand along the course with spray bottles to keep you cool. Absolutely NO PACERS allowed.
