The 4th Annual Rutherford PBA Foot Pursuit takes place this year on October 18, 2015. Those that joined us last year will remember a great day that raised funds for three wonderful causes. Last year we had a great turnout!! Those that join us this year can expect the same fun-filled day that includes a DJ, post-race BBQ and fun activities that families can enjoy together.
The Rutherford PBA Halloween Foot Pursuit was created by Rutherford PBA Members Scott Ahearn and Craig Capoano to raise funds for both the Rutherford PBA Local #300, as well as a local charity. Each year the PBA selects a different charity to benefit from the proceeds of the race. This year the race will benefit the Rutherford First-Aid Ambulance Corps. and the Rutherford Fire Department. The Rutherford PBA Halloween Foot Pursuit is a 5k run/1m walk throughout scenic Rutherford.
Rutherford PBA Local #300 is a very proud and unified organization, which was established to create a strong and healthy work environment for current and future police officers of Rutherford. PBA Local # 300 is a non-profit organization and must depend on the citizens of Rutherford for support. The PBA local #300 relies on the neighborhood’s generosity to fund community activities. Some past activities PBA local #300 has sponsored are: Little League baseball teams, Babe-Ruth teams, Safe-Night Out, Jr. Police Academy, Annual High School Senior Scholarship, bicycle awareness for children, donations to the NJ Special Olympics Torch Run/Polar Bear Plunge, and many other charitable organization
