2nd Annual Veteran's Day 5K Memorial Run

Welcome to the Seawolf Cadet Club's 2nd Annual Veterans Day Memorial Run!  This event commemorates the service and sacrifice of our nation's 22 million veterans.  Half of the proceeds from the run will benefit the Armed Services YMCA Alaska Branch, while the other half will support UAA's Seawolf Cadet Club.  Come out this Veterans Day weekend to have fun and help America's veterans!

Event details and schedule

The run will begin at 10:00AM, though same-day registration will close at 9:45AM.  Participants will arrive in the UAA Social Science Building parking lot, which is where the race around Goose Lake will begin.

Bib pickup will be available on Friday, 6 NOV from 7:30AM - 2:00PM and 5:30PM-7:00PM in the UAA Student Union Building and from 8:00AM - 9:45AM on site the day of the race.

On the day of the run, please park in the parking lot of the consortium library adjacent to the SSB parking lot as it will be occupied by runners. 

Dress for safety and comfort. Winter is upon us so please bring slip spikes, yak trax, or outfit your shoes with spikes. There may be ice on the course, but we will do our best to put sand down for safety and extra traction. Also, patriotic or service-related attire is strongly encouraged.  We can now accept same-day registration payment via cash, personal check, or on Active.com at the bib pickup table. The more the merrier, so please bring your friends, family, and significant others along!  Train, hydrate, and we'll see you bright and early for the race on November 7th!
