Description
My SHERO Shevill Foundation, in partnership with One World Foundation, is hosting its annual 5K to raise the awareness of brain cancer and to support the strength and healing of affected children and their families. The My SHERO Shevill 5K for Hope was established in honor of our SHERO, Shevill Daniel-Bell, her legacy, and her love for children. Shevill journeyed through her diagnosis of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) with strength, faith and love from September 9, 2014, to July 25, 2015, when she gained her angel wings. This annual 5K takes place at the Jacksonville Riverwalk on October 24, 2015—the day following our SHERO's birthday. This 5K walk or run is family friendly and is for beginners to advanced runners who desire to support a cause while staying fit. Packet pick up is available the morning of the 5K. There will be live music, healthy beverages and snacks, and a sunset vigil honoring survivors, fighters and angels to celebrate the completion of the 5K.
