The nOg Run Club invites you to join us for the 8th annual running of the St. Paddy’s 8K as we again look to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Kilt Run with a short 3 block run prior to the 8K!
We will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Kilt Run with a short 3 block run at 1pm prior to the 8K beginning at 3pm. Don your best kilt for an afternoon of running and fun in downtown Raleigh. After the run, celebrate in Moore Square with live Irish music, food, and the first beer is free to all runners of the 8K! The current Guinness World Record was set in 2012 in Perth, Ontario with 1,764 runners. With your help, we can beat their record!

The kilt run is a 3 block run and is open to anyone who has a kilt! Guinness defines a kilt as a plaid, knee length garment that buckles. IF YOU KILT DOES NOT HAVE A BUCKLE, PLEASE WEAR A BELT!
Runners in kilts will be recorded entering the "holding area" on Person St. at 1pm. We need to make sure everyone is on video wearing their kilt to submit to Guinness. The kilt run will start at 2pm followed by the 8K at 3pm.
We even have FREE entertainment for the children! The 150 meter kids run will start at 3:15 on the corner of Person and Martin St.
All children will receive a medal after crossing the finish line.
Along with the live music, this is a perfect way to keep your little ones entertained during the 8K.
Thursday, March 3th- Fleet Feet Raleigh (Ridgewood) from 4-7pm
Friday, March 4th- Tir na nOg from 4-7pm
Saturday, March 5th- Moore Square from 11:30-2:30pm
This is not your every day race. We will have LIVE music starting at noon in Moore Square!

Due to our liability insurance, dogs are NOT allowed on the course. We do allow strollers but we ask you to start towards the back.
