Description
2010 Vineyard Scoops 5K Tour of Edgartown:
The Marthas Vineyard Scoops 5K is a great race for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The original Scoops course toured the streets of downtown Edgartown, which made for an interesting, but hectic, race. In 1998 the race was moved to Katama, where the flat, rural landscape gives runners a chance to turn a personal best for the summer. Course Info
The race starts at the The Farm Institute at Katama Farm, a beautiful and expansive working farm. From there runners continue along the edge of Katama Bay, catch a glimpse of South Beach and the Atlantic Ocean and finish back at the Farm Institute, amidst its cattle and silos. There is a half-kilometer fun run for kids around the property and we have numerous age group awards.
