MO'Cowbell Marathon

This race is the flattest and fastest course in the St. Louis region.  Whether you are running your very first race, using this race as training run for another event, or just “Gotta Have More Cowbell,” you have come to the right place! Your choice of a marathon, half marathon, 5K, and half marathon relay.

The first half of the very flat 26.2-mile Marathon, USATF certified run, is the same course as the MO’ Cowbell Half Marathon.  It starts off from the banks of Missouri River in St. Charles, Missouri, and takes runners on a winding course through the area’s most historic neighborhoods and one of its most progressive locales in New Town. The course heads back to the shores of the river.  For the second half of the route, near the start / finish line, runners will turn northbound onto the Katy Trail and travel a little over 6 miles and then make a u-turn heading them back toward Runner’s Village.  Runners will cross from the Katy Trail onto Riverside Drive near the Foundry Art Centre, then it’s a flat stretch to the finish.

From Hwy 364 (Page Extension) heading West:  Exit at S. River Road/Arena Parkway (Exit #14). Turn right on the S. River Road/Arena Parkway.  Stay right on S. River Road/Arena Parkway at the stoplight at Friedens Road. Turn right onto S. Main Street where you will pass by Ameristar Casino.  Turn right on Boone’s Lick Road.  The start/finish line is one block north of the Jaycee’s Stage on the Riverside Drive, the first left after Boone’s Lick.Participants & spectators will not be able to drive on Riverside Drive.

From Hwy 364 (Page Extension) heading East:  Exit at S. River Road/Arena Parkway (Exit #14). Turn left on the S. River Road/Arena Parkway.  Stay right on S. River Road/Arena Parkway at the stoplight at Friedens Road. Turn right onto S. From I-70 heading West:  Exit at Fifth Street Exit (Exit #229B) which merges on to S. Fifth Street.  Turn right on Ameristar Boulevard and left on S. Main Street.  Turn right on Boone’s Lick Road.  The start/finish line is one block north of the Jaycee’s Stage on the Riverside Drive, the first left after Boone’s Lick. Participants & spectators will not be able to drive on Riverside Drive.

From I-70 heading East:  Exit at Fifth Street Exit (Exit #229).  Take a left on S. Fifth Street.   Turn right on Ameristar Boulevard and left on S. Main Street.  Turn right on Boone’s Lick Road.  The start/finish line is one block north of the Jaycee’s Stage on the Riverside Drive, the first left after Boone’s Lick. Participants & spectators will not be able to drive on Riverside Drive.
