Wheatlake Festival of Races Half Marathon & 5K

• Wheatlake Half Marathon:- Run 13.1 Miles
• Wheatlake 5K Run/Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles
• Wheatlake Kids Dash:- Kids Run

Half Marathon

The 13.1 mile race begins at the Reed City Depot at 200 N. Chestnut Street in Reed City, and will end at the Bandshell. Bus transportation from Big Rapids will be provided to the start of the race in Reed City (see Race and Event Schedule). The runners will use the White Pine Trail from Reed City and will end at the Band Shell, located behind Big Rapids Middle School. The course will include four water stations and restrooms.

Participants that pre-register by April 15, 2016, are guaranteed to receive a tech shirt and goody bag. All participants will receive a race bib with microchip for timing and a finisher medal.

The course will close at 11 a.m.

Cost:

$70 before April 15, 2016 (shirt guaranteed)
$80 after April 15, 2016 (shirt not guaranteed)

5K Run

The 3.1 mile race begins at Hemlock Park, continues along the Riverwalk and ends at the Band Shell behind Big Rapids Middle School. Participants that pre-register by April 15, 2016, are guaranteed to receive a t-shirt and goody bag. All participants will receive a race bib. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Registration is 7 a.m. to 8 a.m., 5K Run begins at 8 a.m.

$30 after April 15, 2016 (shirt not guaranteed)

Wellness Walk

The walk begins and ends at the Band Shell behind Big Rapids Middle School. Participants that pre-register by April 15, 2016, are guaranteed to receive a t-shirt and goody bag.

Kids Dash

Kids up to age 12 can run the field at Big Rapids Middle School. Participants will receive a special surprise.
