2016 Phillippi Shores 7K run and 1 mile fun run

The Phillippi Shores 7K, presented by Dr. Si McAninch, is sponsored by the Manasota Track Club and for the sole benefit of the Phillippi Shores International Baccalaureate World School and its students. Our race is part of the Manasota Track Club/New Balance Racing Series. Come out and show your talent at a slightly longer distance and earn some well deserved race series points.

New Balance 1 Mile Fun Run is a great family event that invites all athletic levels to join in on the fun. Whether you sprint or enjoy a leisurely walk on the 1 mile course, you are sure to enjoy the experience that will earn you a ribbon! At New Balance Sarasota and University Park, their outstanding professional shoe fitters will find a perfect pair for you, so you can cross the finish line in comfort and in record time.

Freeman Orthodontics Family Fun Zone comes alive after the 7K run and remains open until 11:00AM. Runners, walkers and spectators will enjoy games, face painting and jump houses to continue the fun. Dr. Freeman and his dedicated dental team are committed to ensure your morning is full of fun and have a wonderful reputation for ensuring you have the best smile possible.

The Smileworks Kids Dentistry Recovery Zone will give you the TLC our community has come to appreciate from the pediatric dental team at Smileworks Dentistry's office. Enjoy delicious and nutritious snacks and drinks to recover from your morning activity.

The Sugar Orthopaedics Finish Line will be bustling with energy as you prepare to run a great race. With Dr. Sugar's motto of treating people the way you would want to be treated, please cheer on your fellow racers and be sure to stay to the back of the pack if you are under 18, a walker or doing the run with a stroller. This will ensure everyone's safety.

7K awards: Overall youth and adult, male and female, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters and Veteran; 7K Age group: 5 year age groups- Male and Female (6 Deep); 1-Mile Fun Run: Ribbons for all finishers and prizes for top male and female; Special Award for largest team!

Event details and schedule

Online registration will close on Sunday Oct. 3th at Midnight. after that, participants will have to register in person  at Phillippi Shores Elementary, located at 4747 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231

Packet pick-up and late registration will occur at the Sarasota New Balance store, located at 1872 Stickney Point Road Sarasota, Fl 34231, on Thursday Oct. 8, 2015 from 4-7PM and at Phillippi Shores Elementary, located at 4747 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231, on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 from 4-6 PM and on race day Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 from 6-6:45AM. Late registrants are not guaranteed  a t-shirt.
