FT Cares Light The Torch 5K

Presented in partnership by Wheaton Park District and the FT Cares Foundation. The FT Cares Light the Torch 5K Night Run/Walk is a unique race event through downtown Wheaton after sunset. Participants receive glow giveaways, race through luminary lanes, and end with a street fest featuring DJ and food vendors. This is a timed race, runner bibs are chipped.

About This Activity

Light the Torch 5K

Presented in partnership by Wheaton Park District and the FT Cares Foundation. The FT Cares Light the Torch 5K Night Run/Walk is a unique race event through downtown Wheaton after sunset. Participants receive glow giveaways, race through luminary lanes, and end with a street fest featuring DJ and food vendors. This is a timed race, runner bibs are chipped. First 1000 runners receive a long sleeve tech t-shirt. Post-race party includes DJ, giveaways, and refreshments.

All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Date: Friday, September 30, 2016

Time: 7:00 p.m.

Location: 120 E. Liberty Street, Wheaton

Fees: $30 Individual, $25 Team, and $15 Children 10 and under now through August 30. Beginning August 31, $35 Individual, $30 Team*, and children 10 and under $20. $40 Individual and $25 for Children 10 and under for packet pick up and race day registration.

*Must have a team of at least 4

Safety: The runners’ safety is of the utmost importance. Therefore, bicycles, in-line skates, other-wheeled vehicles (except wheelchairs) and dogs are not allowed.

Packet Pick Up: Packet Pickup will be held on Thursday, September 29 from 10A-7P at the First Trust lobby located at 120 E. Liberty Street in Wheaton. Registration is available during packet pick up and race day for adults $40 and children 10 and under $25, if entry is still available.  Race day packet pick up/registration will be held in the lobby of the First Trust Building from 2:00pm - 6:50pm.
