Run or walk in the newest addition to the Run for the Rocks race weekend - The Classic Rock 5K. It will be held in Carey Park on the evening of Sat. Sept. 24 at 5:30 p.m. (NEW LOCATION: EVENT WILL START/FINISH NEAR McQUEEN FIELDS IN THE EAST PART OF CAREY PARK). This family-friendly event is open to competitive speedsters, recreational runners/walkers, as well as strollers, wagons, and dogs on leashes. The flat, fast course is almost entirely on the running trail in Carey Park. You may choose to run with a family member who's planning to complete the half-marathon on Sunday, or you may want to simply participate in this great 5K as an individual. Enroll early and save. The event will be chip-timed, place awards will be given, and all those who complete the distance will receive a finisher's medal! All those registered will receive a tech-shirt.
