Prairie Fire Spring Race Series event will feature a half marathon, 5k race, a one mile kids run and a fun run/walk. The half marathon course has participants running through Friends University, the historic Delano Business District, by the Arkansas River and around Riverside. Packet Pickup will be held on Saturday, April 30th at the KidFest Expo inside of Century II Expo Hall from 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Back 2 Back Challenge

Celebrate the 7th anniversary of the Prairie Fire Race Series by joining theBack 2 Back Challenge! Choose from one of three challenge options that will have you participating in both Spring and Fall races. Sparky's Kids Mile

The Sparky's Kids Mile is tailored to kids who want to run and be a part of the Prairie Fire Spring Half Marathon. We encourage Wichita's youth to make healthy choices and to live an active lifestyle. Kids can come out and run, jog, walk or skip to the finish line and earn a commemorative medal that they can show off to their family and friends. The Sparky's Kids Mile will begin at 10:00 am and will start in front of the Wichita Boathouse and finish at the Finish Line of the Half Marathon. Each participant will receive a gift at the Expo and a T-shirt.

Fun Run/Walk

The Fun Run/Walk will be held on the same course as the Sparky's Kids Mile at 10:00 am. We encourage the city of Wichita to come out and run, jog, skip, or walk together with family and friends and enjoy the weather and good times that the Prairie Fire Spring Half Marathon offers.
