Deep Creek Lake is a gorgeous area, and this is a beautiful 10 mile looped course involving two bridges over the lake (Rt. 219 bridge and Glendale bridge). We also have a challenging 5K run in and around Deep Creek State Park and a 1 mile walk in the park. Support a local non-profit charity.
Registration is on race day (5/21/2016) from 7:00 a.m. until 8:15 a.m. The 10 mile race starts at 8:30 a.m., and the 5K/1 mile start at 9:00 a.m. All races start and finish in Deep Creek State Park. Parking available in the park.
The 10 mile loop is counter clock-wise around the lake (lake on left) and has rolling hills. The majority of the race is run on the road (State Park Rd, Rock Lodge Rd, Rt. 219, Glendale Rd, and State Park Rd again).
The 5K combines road and trail and includes Deep Creek State Park (by the water) and the campground area.
The 1 mile walk starts and finishes in Deep Creek State Park.
Please arrive early because registration shuts down promptly at 8:15 a.m. on race day.
Headphones not recommend while running on road.
