Course Description
The race will start at the Marina at Thousand Hills State Park (the flag pole marks the start), and follow the paved road for about 1.5 miles. This is the only paved portion of the event, and is necessary to allow racers to spread out before entering the singletrack. After taking a left onto Thousand Hills Trail, racers will navigate the twists and turns, ups and downs, rocks, roots, and trees for approximately 11 miles. There are a few stream crossings, and inevitably there will be mud in spots. The trail will exit onto Rainbow Basin Trail (County Road 226), where racers will follow a gravel road for the final half-mile into Jackson Stables. There will be mile markers every half mile of the trail.

There will be 7 aid stations on the course, at slightly irregular intervals.
