Run in honor and remembrance of those who defend our freedom. The Remembrance 10K / 5K pays tribute to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and those men, women and their families who continue to fight for freedom. The Remembrance 10K Run is a scenic, flat course that winds through Camp Johnson and historic Montford Point. Show your support for America’s heroes in this run to remember.

**CIVILIANS NEEDING BASE ACCESS ENTRY PASS

Due to base security measures, all visitors without base decals must be vetted prior to being granted entry. No race day registration for those without base access. If you do not have Base Privileges and would like to participate, you MUST register prior to September 28, 2016 with required information. Registering early allows this process to occur and will help mitigate delays in granting access to the race site. If you know someone with a car decal and they are attending the race, you may wish to carpool with them to the event.

 

Information required for Base entry pass:

Driver info: First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Home Address, Driver License # & State of Issue

 

Vehicle Info: Year, Make, Model, Color, Plate Number, State of Issue, Insurance Company, Policy Number & Expiration Date

Guest that will be coming with you will need to provide the following information: First name, Last name, Date of Birth, Driver License # and State of Issue & Home Address. (Minors without a driver’s license or state ID, are exempt)

 

Those who supplied the required information will be able to pick up their pass the morning of the race prior to entering the Base.

 

Race Start Time Information:

The race will begin at 8 a.m.    

1-Mile Fun Run: The fun run will begin AFTER the start of the 10K / 5K.

 

RACE MATERIAL PICK-UP

Runners will receive race instructions, runner’s number, safety pins, and a commemorative shirt (register by Fri, Sep 16, 2016 to guarantee shirt). Those who have registered by noon on Tue, Oct 11, 2016 can pick up their race packet at the Wallace Creek Fitness Center on Fri, Oct 14, 2016 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. All racers can pick up their packets at the race site on the day of the event from 6-7:30 a.m.

 

FINISH/TIMING/RESULTS/REFRESHMENTS: Unofficial times are available immediately at the finish line on thedigital display clock. Finish times will be posted at the conclusionof each race. Complimentary refreshments will be available to allparticipants at the end of the race.

 

AWARDS: Awards will be presented to the top three male and female OVERALL and OVERALL MASTERS finishers, and to the following age categories: 9 and under, 10-12, 13-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over. Team awards will also be presented to the top team categories. Teams must have a minimum of 4 runners to score; husband and wife requires2 and mixed teams require at least 1 person of the opposite gender. The awards ceremony will be held after the last runner has finished. Awards will not be mailed.

 

Grand Prix Series (GPS) Points

GPS Points are awarded to individuals and team categories for those who place in each category for each of the qualifying GPS Races. Points will be accumulated to determine overall Champion and awards will also be presented to the top three overall winners in the male, female, masters male, female, masters male, and masters female categories, and to all age categories. Team awards will be presented to the top team categories.
