Race Description: The Inaugural African World Peace 5K Road Race is part of the morning festivities of the African World Peace Festival bringing you lots of new and never seeing entertainment in the City of Fayetteville, the actual Festival take off at 2 pm ending at 8 pm with lots of music and cultural dancers.

Awards: 5K: Age Categories 10 & Under 11-14 15-18 19-24 25-29 30-34 35-39 40-44 45-49 50-54 55-59 60-64 (Val Cat 65-69) 70-74 75 & Above

 

Adult Civilians/Military $25 Kids $20 Festival is FREE to the public but Race Prices will Increase July 5th to $30, all runners

Event News: This event is a fund raiser for the Loving Hands International and cultural & Heritage Alliance proudly presents African World Peace Festival. A Parade and concert poised at celebrating the rich diversity of the African culture.

Fun parts of the celebration includes a parade highlighting the different cultures, fashions, music, drumming and dancing performers, arts/craft displays, special African cuisine, Health and wellness (Free Screening), as well as family oriented activities and education.

LOM NAVA

Come celebrate! Sounds & Rhythms of Drums, Sight and Movements of Dance. It’s an exploration, the influence African and African-American heritage had on the cultural arts. LOM NAVA showcases popular African artist and the achievements of USA citizens of African descents, interactive music education sessions and cultural performances rooted in African traditions; historical artifacts, photos; performances; and demonstrations by artistic Drummers and Dancers from around the world.

Master drummers Khalat Africa lead sessions that teach drumming techniques. Bring your drums. A spontaneous and collaborative environment encourages all to participate in the rhythmic experience and share their gifts with others.

Health and Wellness. Free Health Screening. Meet a group a doctors from Fayetteville who travel to Africa on humanitarian missions share their experiences.
