Come join us for our second year of the annual Conquer the Trail Race Series presented by The Mercy College Exercise Science Club. The races will take place on Sunday May 1st, 2016 This year we will have a 5k race as well as a 10k race. The races will start and finish on the Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry Campus with an out and back course along the scenic and flat Croton Aqueduct Trail. The event will include a free T-shirt with pre-registration, a free kids mile fun run, awards to the top individuals in each age group and to the top overall male and female winners, and refreshments after the race.
Come be a part of our exciting Conquer The Trail Race Series. A portion of the proceeds raised will be donated to help the Special Olympics New York program. The Special Olympics is an international organization that changes lives by promoting understanding, acceptance and inclusion between people with and without intellectual disabilities. The Special Olympics New York is the largest program in the United States and nearly the largest program in the world. Their mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-style sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
