Philly Run Wild - Save the Orangutans 5K Run/Walk at the Philadelphia Zoo

• 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles
• 1 Mile:- Run 1 Mile

USATF Certified Course through the Zoo!! This will be a timed event. Walkers will begin after runners to ensure runners have a smooth start. The 5k course consists of one lap inside the zoo, one lap outside the zoo and then a reverse lap inside the zoo (walkers will complete one lap inside the zoo). The start and finish are at the same spot. They are about 90 yards away from the Zoo Balloon so there is plenty of space for spectators.

Awards for age group winners and top 3 male and female finishers. 

Admission to the zoo is included in the race registration. Please stay after the race and join in this great day of family fun! This is a charity event and all proceeds from the run directly benefit Orangutan Foundation International. 

Walkers, kids, strollers welcome. Sorry, no pets. Children under 2 are free of charge for the event but if you want a t-shirt for them please order one and pay for it when you register.

Event details and schedule

Pre-registration includes t-shirt and zoo admission (a $20 value)! We are capping this event at 1000 participants so register early to guarantee your spot!

Runners and walkers will need to pick up their race bibs (runners only) and t-shirts the morning of the event. Check-in will open at 7 AM. The race will begin promptly at 8:30 AM. For more information on the schedule of events please visit www.phillyrunwild.com. 

There will be plenty of food and drink after the race. 

***In order to be guaranteed a t-shirt size you must be pre-registered by April 8!***

Spectators who are not registered for the run/walk but want to attend to cheer on friends and family will be required to purchase a zoo admission ticket. Discounted tickets can be pre-purchased with your event registration and will be sold the day of the event. Tickets provide full zoo access before, during, and after the event. If you do not have a ticket, you will not be granted access to the run/walk.
