The Jerome Alston Memorial Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit public charity is hosting our Third Annual Breathe Easy 5K Run/Walk for Asthma Awareness with a concurrent health expo on May 7, 2016 at Mt. Trashmore in Virginia Beach.
May is Asthma Awareness Month and the Jerome Alston Memorial Foundation is joining with thousands of organizations to increase public awareness of the asthma epidemic. Asthma affects more than 25 million people of all ages and races. And although it is a widespread disease, public awareness of common asthma triggers as well as effective asthma management strategies remain limited.
This event and the profits from this event will be used to support Western Tidewater Free Clinic and their asthma education programs. We appreciate your support for our community and charitable activities.
