Heart The City Run & Walk to Fight Homelessness located in the beautiful city of Oak Creek, WI.The race starts at remodeled Abendschein Park, will run through a part of Oak Leaf Trail, through residential neighborhoods and back to Abendschien Park. The event will be digitally chip timed by J3 Timing, the same company that timed our inaugural race. The race will culiminate with a post race party that will include the awards ceremony, food, beverages and live entertainment. The race courses will be USATF certified to help you qualify for larger races. All 5K participants will receive a free t-shirt and all 10k participants will receive a free tech shirt.
Our mission is to bring awareness to the poverty and homelessness within Milwaukee, WI. Proceeds from this annual event will be used to support the building of our first transitional living facility for the homeless as well as for food, water and hygiene products for the homeless.

Revitalize WI
Revitalize WI, Inc is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization that works specifically with homeless that are still living on the streets. As a 100% volunteer organization, every cent from every dollar goes towards our work with the homeless. On a monthly basis, we walk the streets of Milwaukee going under bridges and highway overpasses to locate and provide homeless with food, water, clothes and hygiene products. The run/walk will start promptly at 9am and check-in will open at 8am.
Both courses will be posted on our website by fall 2015.
Please wear appropriate running/walking attire. Please bring with you a photo ID to check in, but leave any valuables in your car or at home. Heart the City is not liable for any theft or loss of valuables.
