The Yellow Jacket Challenge is a 5K run, one mile walk, and children's fun runs. It takes place at Greenville High School and proceeds benefit the Education Foundation of Greenville used for health and wellness initiatives grades K-12. The 5K race is USATF certified, Governor's Council endorsed, and features chip timing. In its 9th year, there are an average of 350 runners and 120 walkers. Awards are 3 deep in each age group. This is a perfect 5K for first timers, children, and families to run together.
