Description

The GR Race Series was created in 2015 as a new way to be invovled in area races.  In addition to being able to particpate in 4 unique events in the GR area, you will also receive a commemorative piece of apparel (more information on this coming soon)!  This year we are excited to have the following 4 events part of the 2016 GR Race Series:

Brian Diemer 5K | June 11 | Cutlerville
This year the GR Race Series starts off with the Brian Diemer 5K.  This is a flat, fun, and fast USAT&F-approved course loops through the beautiful Pine Rest Campus, down the Cutlerville Days parade route on 68th Street.  A great way to start your summer off!

Magic of the Mile | July 12 | Northview
The next stop is on to the track at Northview Schools!  The mile distance was once revered as the premier and this is your chance to run 1,608 meters (5,280 feet).  You will be broke down by gender and age group for 4 laps + 9 meters around the track with fans cheering you the entire way.

Cross Country Team Challenge | July 28 | Belmont
Now it is time to take to the grass and dirt and experience running as a team sport in a high-school style cross country meet.  The 5K course loops you through mowed grass, packed dirt, and gravel at the Wolverine World Wide YMCA in Belmont.  Your team of 5 will be scored using high school cross country rules.  No worries if you don't have your team of 5 yet or understand the scoring.

Lake Michigan Credit Union Bridge Run 5K or 10 Mile | September 18 | Grand Rapids
The GR Race Series wraps up in the heart of Grand Rapids at Rosa Parks Circle!  The 10 mile course takes you through the city, over historic bridges along the Grand River, through Riverside Park, and back to Rosa Parks Circle.  The 5K course runs you through the city, along the river, and over a few of the historic bridges before bringing you back to Rosa Parks Circle.  Both courses are relatively flat and fast!

In addition to receiving a fun piece of apparel, by participating in the GR Race Series, you save $10!

Stay tuned for additional updates.  We look forward to seeing you part of the GR Race Series!
