Welcome to the 6th Annual "Back To The Beach" Half Marathon 5k & 10k races. We hope you come out again for a fun morning of running and fellowship as we help support the Detroit Chapter of Medals 4 Mettle and also help many other local children's charities and trail projects.

Race day is the perfect time to bring out any half marathon, marathon, triathlon and ultra-finisher medals you would like to donate to the Medals 4 Mettle program.

New this year, all participants from every race will receive a “Back To The Beach” full size BEACH TOWEL. The towels are bright, colorful and soft and of course feature the now famous Sun Guy! So sign up early to ensure your spot in this year’s race!

The half marathon medal will again be custom made, beach themed and will feature the famous SUN GUY! Once again the medal will leave you Spinning for 2016! Also for 2016, all 5K and 10K runners will receive a finisher’s medal that also features our Famous Sun Guy!

Top 10 Most Scenic Half Marathons

Our Stony Creek "Back To The Beach" Half Marathon has been named by Active to their “Top 10 Most Scenic Half Marathons" in America List 2 out of the last 3 years! If you have run the course, you already knew how Beautiful and Scenic it is, but to be recognized by a national group is a big honor that we are proud of and hope you take pride in these announcements too.  Please note the Half Marathon is a run only.  Our 5k and 10k courses do offer a walking option.

So keep up your training to be ready to run the course you LOVE! We know you will have a BLAST and hundreds of the best volunteers are looking forward to seeing you run “BACK TO THE BEACH” on May 15, 2016.
