Polar Plunge - Freezin' for a Reason 5K

• Freezin' for a Reason 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

Release your Winter Warrior and take part in the 2016 Freezin' for a Reason 5K. This unique winter 5K is part of the winter's most exciting event, the Polar Plunge! The Polar Plunge is Special Olympics Wisconsin's largest fundraising event and each year over 10,000 brave souls conquer the cold to support Special OIympics programs in their community.

The Freezin' for a Reason 5K will kick off the 2016 Polar Plunge at 10:00 a.m. Runners can choose to just take part in the 5K or amp it up and run and then take the Plunge! The cost is $30 for the 5K or $100 to run and plunge.

All participants receive a Freezin’ for a Reason 5K T-shirt, goodie bag and refreshments.

Fundraise to support Special Olympics Wisconsin and earn great prizes including a beach towel, fleece blanket, performance hoodie and soft shell jacket!
The Top Male and Top Female Finishers will receive embroidered soft shell jackets

After the run we will turn up the heat! For those of you brave enough to Plunge we have hot tubs to warn you up. The Entertainment Tent is heated to a balmy 70 degrees! Toasty warm his and hers changing tents, and a huge Family Fun tent to round out your tenting experience. Rehydrate and refuel after the race with warm food, hot chocolate, coffee...and in case you are getting too warm we have cold beer too! Stay for the huge party, live music by RPM begins at 11:30 a.m. Enjoy the sight of thrill seekers dashing and splashing in wacky costumes! .
