Course Info

Half Marathon Course

The course will explore some of the best single track trails that Knoxville has to offer. The half marathon course starts from the gravel parking lot at Mead’s Quarry and heads down the paved trail for nearly a half mile before funneling down into single track trails. Winding through the Urban Wilderness, runners will encounter plenty of rocks, roots, and climbing to test their grit. The loop course will take participants through five parks, featuring the old quarries and hills of East Tennessee with a perfect balance of neighborhood backyard feel. There are 5 road crossings along the course that will will be monitored for the safety of the runners. There is also a brief segment of road running after the first aid station (Anderson School).

4.2 Mile Course

The 4.2 mile course takes a stroll out of the quarry and into the wooded forests of South Knoxville and progressively gets tougher. Rolling hills give way to rocky ascents before ending with a challenging climb around Mead's Quarry. The views around the quarry are amazing, but you have to earn it. This is also the run course for the XTERRA Knoxville Triathlon.
