Takoma Park Safe Routes to School 5K Challenge

• Takoma Park Safe Routes to School 5K Challenge:- Run 3.1 Miles

Now in its 8th year, this fun, family event draws over 1,300 racers and spectators to run and walk through beautiful Sligo Creek Park.  The Race benefits five local school (Takoma Park Elementary, Rolling Terrace Elementary, Piney Branch Elementary, East Silver Spring Elementary and Takoma Park Middle Schools) who use the proceeds for bike and pedestrian safety and health and fitness activities.

5k Run (chip timed) run and walk, 1 mile (chip timed) run and 1/4 mile fun run are offered.  Medals awarded to top adult and youth finishers.
