The 7th Annual Have a Heart Run is a family-friendly event located at beautiful Edgewater Park, just west of the Skagit River in Mount Vernon, Washington. This event features a timed 5K/ 10K run, 2K walk (dogs & strollers permitted), and a 1/2 mile kid's run. This year's run is professionally managed by Skagit Runners.
All proceeds from this event will benefit Community Action of Skagit County who walks side by side with nearly one in five people in Skagit County on their path to stability and prosperity. Though they offer many different services which range from homeless prevention to nutrition support, the real produce that they offer is simple: hope.
5K/ 10K
The timed 5K and 10K (certified) courses are fairly flat and run south along parts of the Skagit River dikes and beautiful farm lands.
2K Course
The 2K course runs north along the Skagit River and is stroller and pet friendly (on leash). This course is not timed and is enjoyable for the whole family.
Kid's Run
The half-pint half-mile is a free run for kids ages 18 months- 9 years old. This is a non-competiteve event designed for fun and laugs as the little ones run off some energy.
