Follow Your Heart 5k

• 5k:- Run 3.1 Miles

Mission: The 2nd annual Follow Your Heart 5k event in historic downtown Monroe brings the community together to address hunger, homelessness, and education in our area. Your registration fee goes directly to providing Title 1 schools in Union County with essential items they may not be able to afford otherwise. You would be supporting the students and teachers of East Elementary, Walter Bickett, Monroe Middle and Monroe High! By running or walking, you will also support the Union County Community Shelter, including the purchase of new beds and items for individual, families, and children moving from the Shelter into housing.

The Follow Your Heart 5k includes runners/walkers from all areas of our community including students, families, community leaders, businesses, and nonprofits.

This year, the race will be officially timed.

When: March 19, 2016 at 8:00am (downtown Monroe at the Union County Courthouse between Jefferson St & Main St.)

Who: Race is open to all ages including runners and walkers.

Race Packages:
$25 for students and teachers (Until 3/1/16 then $30)
$30 (Until 3/1/16 then $35)
$25 donate a race package for a Title 1 student

Special Opportunity: Sponsor a child/student from a Title 1 school in Union County. Each student that participates in the race will receive a t-shirt and finishers medal.

Donate to Heart for Monroe: Not interested in running or walking, donate a race registration for a Title 1 student or donate your race registration to assist the Union County Community Shelter and our partner schools.

All Participants Receive: A string bag, race t-shirt and finishers medal.
