Buck Ridge Burn Trail Half Marathon and 5K

• 1/2 Marathon:- Run 13.1 Miles
• 5K-ish Race and Fun Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

These Pennsylvania Appalachians may be old, but they’ll still burn your butt! Come play in the woods of the Michaux State Forest and test your trail grit on one of two challenging courses.

In the mood for a quick trail fix or trying out the trail scene for the first time? The 5K course will leave you feeling satisfied with rolling, muddy double-track, winding single-track, and refreshing April creek crossings.

But if that’s not enough for you, take on the grit-testing Half Marathon! There’s a little bit of everything on this course: creek crossings, mud, roots, rocks, grinding climbs, grassy rolling double-track, and swift, snaking single track. The course is extremely well-marked with a generous time limit, but the course record is HOT and hard to beat. Come have a crack at it!

Of course the trail is the main event, but I know you’ll have an awesome time post-race chillin’ at Race Headquarters trail-folk style, enjoying the huge spread, breakfast for the 5K folk and lunch for the Half Marathoners, while grooving to the soulfilled music of one of our hottest local bands, Indian Summer Jars. Relax on the grass and help us cheer on the rest of the brave, hard-working runners.
