Puzzle Palooza Autism Awareness 5k & Lil' Puzzle Fun Run

Join us at our Puzzle Palooza Family Fun Day which includes our 11th Annual Autism Awareness 5K run/walk and Lil Puzzle Fun Run, information fair, community vendors, family friendly activities and much more! The event will take place on Saturday April 2nd, 2016, at Camp Pendleton in Virginia Beach, VA. This event will also kick off World Autism Day. The event is from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.  Fair activities will follow the 5K and Fun Run. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Autism Society, Tidewater Virginia which is a community based organization helping local Hampton Roads families facing autism. Registration:

5K Run/Walk Registration before March 21, 2016 is $40, Thereafter registration fee is $45. Registration includes  Race T-shirt, Finisher Medal and 2 FREE beer tickets to participants 21+

Lil' Puzzle Fun Run Registration before March 21, 2016 is $15, Thereafeter registration fee is $20.  Registration includes Race T-Shirt and Finisher Medal. No fee for parent/guardian escort unless event shirt is requested.

Official 2016 Autism Awareness 5 K Shirt only guaranteed to the first 300 registered participants. Thereafter, while supplies last.

Strollers/Wheelchairs are allowed, but are asked to start at the back of the pack! No pets allowed to participate in 5K Run or Fun Run unless service animal.  

Awards

Awards will be given out at 10:30 a.m. race day.

Top 3 Female/Male Overall for 5K will receive unique awards. Top 3 Male/Female for 5K in each age category will receive a special prizes.

5K Age Groups:
Youth 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.  

Everyone who finishes the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will receive a medal.

Fund-raising Awards:  The following will be awarded to the individual who raises the most funds:

1st Place - $200 Gift Card 

Other fundraisers who raise at least $100  are eligible to win a variety of prizes. 

Team Awards

Top 3 Teams with the most participants will be recognized during annoucements.  (Team members must have registered by April 1, 2016)

Location & Parking:

Camp Pendleton is located at 203 Red Horse Drive Virginia Beach, VA 23451.  All vehicles entering must  have valid driver’s license, have up to date DMV Registration Decals and State Inspection stickers to enter. GATES FOR 5K PARTICIPANTS WILL OPEN AT 7AM.  DURING 5K & FUN RUN EVENT FROM 8:15 A.M.-10:45 A.M. THERE WILL BE NO VEHICLE TRAFFIC ALLOWED ON BASE OR THROUGH GATES.  Free parking will be available onsite.

Packet Pickup/Same Day Registration

Early Packet Pick-up and same day registration will be available on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 11 am to 7 pm at Autism Society Office, 5291 Greenwich Road, Suite 1, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462.  Same day registration and day of  event packet picket will be available on April 2, 2016 from 7:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m at Camp Pendleton. Puzzle Palooza celebration throughout the 5k event and after to include music, kid activities, food vendors and refreshments for participants!
