Run for Independence

• Kid's Fun Run:- Kids Run
• 10k:- Run 6.2 Miles
• 10k Wheel Div.:- bike or wheel 6.2 Miles
• 5k :- Run 3.1 Miles
• 1 mile run:- 1 mile running

The 4th annual "Run for Independence" celebrates 50 years of Independence Association in 2016. It is an all inclusive race dedicated to celebrating every individual's abilities regardless of their disabilities. Every person competes as an equal in their selected race; there  are no "special" categories. After running, join in the festivities and the celebration. Lots of fun for the kids, music, and more. Lots of prizes including CASH. Opportunities to run as a team even if everyone on the team runs in different events. A total of $1440 in cash prizes will be awarded to the first place winners (male and female). A total of 40 metals will be given: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place finishers in all races and best speed for 5 different age groups (male and female). Note: wheeled athletes must use self propelled wheeled vehicles such as recumbent bikes, wheelchairs, bikes, and step bikes.
