2016 Town of Pleasant Garden Discover Good Living Expo & 5K benefitting JDRF:

Bring the whole family to enjoy a beautiful spring morning in the picturesque Town of Pleasant Garden, North Carolina. This popular and unique event features a lead ride out from the The Freedom Bikers, a Family Fun Zone with entertainment for the kids and  performances from dance, cheerleading and jump rope teams.

This beautiful rural course winds through the neighborhoods around Volunteer Park in the Town of Pleasant Garden, North Carolina. Participants of all ages will run over rolling hills while enjoying the natural scenic countryside.

Pleasant Garden, NC is located just southeast of Greensboro
10 minutes from I-40/85

Major highways are 421 South towards Sanford and 220 South towards Asheboro. If traveling on 421 South, you may turn on Pleasant Garden Road or continue to Neelley Road, just south of the I-85 loop. If traveling on 220 South, you would turn on Hwy 62 East and travel north on either Davis Mill Rd., Hunt Rd., or Appomattox Rd.

From I-85 Bypass Northbound
Take S. Elm-Eugene St Exit 124
Turn Right at the light at the top of the ramp
Drive less than a mile to Ritters Lake Rd. (Flashing yellow light).
Turn LEFT on Ritters Lake Rd. and travel 9/10 of a mile to the stoplight
Turn right at the light onto Pleasant Garden Rd.

From I-85 Bypass Southbound
Take U.S. 421 South Exit 126A
Approx. 1 mile to Neelley Rd. (Second road on right)
Follow signs to "Pleasant Garden"

From I-40/Business I-85
Take 220 South toward Asheboro
Exit I-85 Bypass toward Durham
Take U.S. 421 South Exit 126A
Approx. 1 mile to Neelley Rd. (Second road on right)
Follow signs to "Pleasant Garden"

The Town of Pleasant Garden's 3rd annual Discover Good Living Expo promotes a healthy lifestyle through recreational activities and hosts a 5K run / 1-mile walk to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF - the largest non-profit funder of type 1 diabetes reasearch in the world.)
