The GCABSE "Sprint for Scholars 5K" is a new venture for our organization to raise funds for college scholarships. The event will be a "fun run/walk" on the Irwin Creek/Stewart Creek Greenways located near Bruns Avenue Elementary School and will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. All ages and education supporters are invited to "run, walk, stroll or roll" for scholarships. With your financial support, we hope to make our inaugural "Sprint for Scholars 5K" an overwhelming success. Modest registration fees are $25 for adults , $15 for college students, and $10 for children ages 5-17 years. On-site REGISTRATION begins at 7:30 a.m. Run/Walk starts at 8:30 a.m.
GCABSE is a 501(c)3 non-profit affiliate organization and all contributions are tax deductible as determined by law. Additionally, businesses and organizations are encouraged to make contributions to help defray the cost of this fundraiser.
GCABSE is The Greater Charlotte Alliance of Black School Educators, a professional education advocacy organization affiliated with the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE). Our purpose is to raise public awareness and provide programming to help ensure excellence and equity in the education of all children.
