Healing Steps is a walk held during Sexual Assault Awareness month to both honor survivors in the Columbus community, as well as address the stigma which silences survivors.
The walk will begin with a speak out in which selected survivors will have the opportunity to share their journey to recovery. Due to time limitations, survivors who were not given the time to speak will have their stories collected in a commemorative book to be displayed at the event. Following the speak out, survivors will be led on a paper lantern lit walk through on and off campus locations. Walkers will reconvene for refreshments and the showing of the documentary, The Hunting Ground to conclude the night.
If you would like to submit your story, please fill out this form before April 8th:
Meet in the Maudine Cow Room at the Ohio Union at 7:30.
End Shame. End Silence. Stop the Violence.
