Waples Mill Elementary Fly Like an Eagle - 5K Fun Run

• 5K Run/Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles
• ¼ Mile Kids Dash:- 0.25 Miles

Warm up Starts at 7:45 AM
5K Fun Run Starts at 8:00 AM
¼ Mile Kids Dash (on Upper Field) Starts at 9:45AM

Come join your classmates and neighbors at this family friendly event. Run or walk in the neighborhood around Waples Elementary School. This PTA-sponsored event will support educational and enrichment programs for the over 800 local students who attend Waples Mill Elementary School. This is a USATF sanctioned event. After the 5k Fun Run, we will hold a 1/4 mile Kids Dash around the Waples Mill Field. The Kids Dash is designed to provide an opportunity for younger children to have a chance to participate in the activities.

REGISTRATION COST:
5K Adult: $25 by April 22nd; $30 after April 22nd
5K Youth: $15
5K Family:$90 by April 22nd; $100 after April 22nd (Limited to five Immediate family members only please)
Fun Run: $7

Please note Participants that register before April 1st are guaranteed a race t-shirt. Those registering after April 1st will receive t-shirts while supplies last.
 

PACKET PICK UP:
April 29th, 5:30 PM at Waples Mill Elementary
Race day registration/packet pickup: 6:45 - 7:45 AM

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The race will start on the upper field behind Waples Mill Elementary School. Runners will proceed along the side of the building, around the front of the school, turning right on Verna Drive, and then turning right on Waples Mill Road. Runners will turn right turn on Waples Glen Court. The course will continue along Waples Glen Court, up and around Embree Court to Verna Drive. At the end of Verna Drive, runners will turn around to loop out and back down Verna Drive, turn to the right to loop around Waples Glen Court, continue down Waples Glen turning around when your reach Waples Mill Road, back up Waples Glen Court, up Verna Drive, finishing back at Waples Mill ES, running across the front of the school, along the side of the building, and ending on the upper field behind the school.

• Promote a stronger sense of community among our Waples Mill Families
• Encourage healthy lifestyles through diet and exercise
• Provide an encouraging environment for our students and families
• Raise money to enhance the educational experience for students at Waples Mill

This event will be held rain or shine! Waples Mill Elementary School has a NO REFUND policy. Please note that we do not offer any refunds or discount codes if you cancel your registration for this event.
