The Original Lake Placid/North Elba Half Marathon & 10K
STARTS at the Olympic Skating Oval on Main Street Lake Placid at 9:00am (both distances). FINISHES at the North Elba Show Grounds. The course features a scenic run through downtown Lake Placid and the picturesque surrounding area. Passing by much of the towns Olympic history, including the Olympic Center, home of the 1980 ‘Miracle on Ice’, the Sheffield Speed Skating Oval, the towering ski jumps and with frequent scenic views of Whiteface and the surrounding Adirondacks, this race transcends the usual 13.1 sticker. Aid stations with water, sports drinks, food and competitively enthusiastic volunteers will be provided approximately every 2 miles for both races. Shuttles will be available to and from the finish line at the North Elba Horseshow Grounds and the start line at the Olympic Oval before and after the races.
