City of South Gate Spring Fit 2016 5K Run / Walk - Fighting Chilhood Obesity

Saturday, May 14, 2016 9:00 a.m. Join us for our second annual Spring Fit 5K Run/Walk. all proceeds go to out non -profit "Friends of South Gate Parks" Charity organization. Open to all experienced and not-so experienced runners.

Registration is $20.00. Early registration, before April 30 is $15.00. There is a special price for groups of 10 or more. Participants receive a race t-shirt, sack pack full of goodies, and a finisher's medal (while supplies last). Spend a beautiful morning strolling/ running/ walking through our wonderful course filled with scenic paths, inside South Gate Park. Bring your family and friends!

Are you tired of running up and down cement streets and looking at nothing but buildings and parking lots? That's ok, we offer an alternative. Our course is layed out through our beautiful South Gate park, filled with scenic scenes and plenty of soft paths. 5 Fwy South, 710 Fwy South, Exit Firestone, head West to Atlantic Blvd, turn left (head South) to Tweedy Blvd, turn right (head West) park in any lot on your right, just past our beautiful South Gate Veterans Memorial fountain.

From Orange County:

605 Fwy North, 105 Fwy West, 710 Fwy North, Exit Firestone, head West to Atlantic Blvd, turn left (head South) to Tweedy Blvd, turn right (head West) park in any lot on your right, just past our beautiful South Gate Veterans Memorial fountain.
