Phi Delta Theta 5k for ALS - Macon

• Phi Delta Theta Iron Phive K Walk, Run and Wag for ALS:- Run 3.1 Miles

Proceeds from the 2016 Phi Delta Theta Iron Phive K Run, Walk and Wag for ALS will help fund research efforts for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The annual event is jointly hosted by the undergraduate and alumni chapters of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity across Georgia.

On April 3, 2016, “Iron Phive K for ALS” will occur concurrently on the campuses of University of Georgia (Athens), Mercer University (Macon), and Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta). All interested runners and walkers and dogs with owners are invited to participate. Runners will lead, followed by solo walkers, and finally dogs with owners (tags, leashes and plastic bags are required).

Athens and Macon race day registration and packet pickup begins at 8:00 a.m. with the race beginning at 9:00 a.m. Atlanta race day registration and packet pickup begins at 7:00am with the race beginning at 8:00a.m.

In recognition of Gehrig, who was initiated into Phi Delta Theta at Columbia University, the fundraising efforts of Fraternity members and the Iron Phi program is a way to achieve personal athletic goals while helping The ALS Association and Phi Delta Theta Foundation achieve their collective goal of raising awareness and monies for ALS research.
