Celebrate traditional and contemporary Japanese culture at this four-mile race in Central Park, now in its 10th year. The race and accompanying kids' races are part of Japan Day @ Central Park, which starts immediately after the Japan Run and features a variety of Japanese food, activities, and stage performances over the course of the day.

The course is the four-mile Central Park "inner loop."
Mile 1: Start on East Drive near East 68th Street and run north, ascending Cat Hill.
Mile 2: Continue north and and pass Engineers' Gate (East 90th Street). Turn left onto the 102nd Street Transverse.
Mile 3: Turn left on West Drive and run south through a series of three rolling hills as you pass the Reservoir on your left.
Mile 4: Enjoy a downhill, then a flat section. Turn left onto the 72nd Street Transverse and finish just west of Bethesda Terrace.
Celebrate Mother's Day in Japanese style at the Japan Day Festival, in front of the Naumberg Bandshell immediately following the four-mile race. Enjoy traditional and contemporary Japanese culture through food, activities, and stage performances. For more information, visit japandaynyc.org. Awards will be available to the top three men and women overall, as well as in age and gender groups as explained in this article. A list of all award winners will be posted in the results for each race.
