This June, NYRR turns 58 years old. Help us celebrate by donning your favorite old-school running gear and taking a walk—no, a run—down Memory Lane at the NYRR Retro 4-Miler. This is a throwback-themed race in the perfect spot—Central Park—where many iconic moments in running have occurred! 

Be on the lookout for our vintage lead car, old-school running gear, and other suprises. In the spirit of historical races, the course won’t feature clocks at each mile; instead, staff will call out splits just like back in the day!

Whether this is your first race or your 500th, come out for an unforgettable day of running.

The course is the four-mile Central Park "inner loop."

Mile 1: Start on East Drive near East 68th Street and run north, ascending Cat Hill.

Mile 2: Continue north and and pass Engineers' Gate (East 90th Street). Turn left onto the 102nd Street Transverse.

Mile 3: Turn left on West Drive and run south through a series of three rolling hills as you pass the Reservoir on your left.

Mile 4: Enjoy a downhill, then a flat section. Turn left onto the 72nd Street Transverse and finish just west of Bethesda Terrace.
