Description

It doesn’t get much easier than this: walk / jog / run … drink beer.

Free beer, swag, music, local vendors & more! Join us at 8AM on Saturday, June 18th at Great Raft Brewing and enjoy a fun-run 5k and beer mile throughout the surrounding Highland neighborhood. Walk, jog, run… no one cares! We’ve mapped out a course that starts and ends at the brewery, and our guides along the way will make sure you know where to go. Cross the finish line and celebrate!

Included in registration:

All 21+ age participants will receive a FREE pint of Great Raft Brewing beer at the tasting room and a sweet souvenir glass. Bring the whole gang! This is an all-ages event and everyone is welcome to stick around and enjoy the day’s entertainment: live music, food trucks and local vendors.

We will have cool awards for the overall male and female winner for the 5K and beer mile, as well as best beer mile team award. Medals will be given to winners of the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.

Some more important things to note:

•     You must bring a valid ID or driver’s license. You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the 5K, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. You must be 21 to participate in the beer mile. Please drink responsibly.

•     We run rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for the weather

•     There will not be a bag check; please plan accordingly

· The beer mile can be run individually or as a team of two.

The beer mile starts after the 5k. Plan to arrive about 30 minutes prior to check-in.

The beer mile requires a single participant to drink a full-sized beer, run a quarter mile, then repeat the process three times. This results in the consumption of four beers and the running of four quarter miles (hence the beer mile). You can also choose to sign up for the beer mile as a team of two, cutting your beer consumption and running distance in half.

There is public parking at the brewery and in other designated lots. We always encourage carpooling and safe, designated drivers. We have bicycle racks as well, so consider pedaling over.

Look for more info closer to the event. We will remind you of these details and share anything else you might need to know.
