BeYond Expectations Commuity Outreach is hosting our 1st Annual "OutRun Hunger" 5K Run/Walk that will take place at the scenic Moon Lake at Idle Hour Park in Phenix City, Alabama during the peak of our Fall season. The point to point course will start at the west end of the tranquil Moon Lake and continue around the nature surrounded Lake for 4 laps.

This Run/Walk will "OutRun Hunger" throughout the Russell County, Alabama communities by promoting Hunger Awareness, collecting non-perishable foods and raising funds to support BeYond Expectations Community Outreach's "Neighbor to Neighbor" food pantry. Your support will  help us feed numerous children, seniors and individuals who are living in food insecure households in Phenix City/Russell County on a daily basis.

Join us in running and walking not just for fun but for a cause..."Anti-HUNGER". "Step-Up to the Plate" in helping us to "Out Run Hunger". Each step you take places food on someone's plate.

7:00 AM - Registration and Check-In

8:00 AM - Race Warm-up

8:15 AM - Let the Runs and Walks Begin

10:00 AM Refreshments Awards and Drawings 

5K Run/Walk Course

4 laps (3 miles) around Moon Lake

2 laps (1.5 miles) aorund Moon Lake - Walkers

Parking

Adjacent Moon Lake on the left side of Park. Look for "Parking" signs.

No parking permitted in the Moon Lake parking lots.

Runners/Walkers Tips

• Comfortable running/walking shoes with thick socks
• Sunscreen
• Hat or caps
