Project Lifting Spirits, Inc. works to provide gifts and morale boosting events to our local wounded troops and goody boxes to our deployed wounded troops on a regular basis throughout the year. Currently, we provide items to Fort Gordon Army Base, the Veteran's Administration Hospital, and the Fisher House on Fort Gordon in the Augusta, Georgia area.

Warriors Journey Home’s mission is to provide spiritual healing and soul repair for veterans, families and the community. They will be working to have a weekly location to hold their events and funds raised will assist them with this endeavor.

Event details and schedule

The 5k/10k will start promptly at 8:00 a.m.

Parking

When you enter the Savannah Rapids Park make the first right into parking areas and follow it around the curve. Please park in this area.

Course Information

There will be signs that mark each mile for the 5k and 10k distances as well as a turn around sign. Due to the location of the starting line, the distances that are marked will not be accurate.

Shirts

Tech shirts are being ordered and will be available for purchase with your registration and on the day of the event provided sizing is available. All registrations prior to October 10, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. are guaranteed a shirt. Any orders after this date are not guaranteed.

Refunds

This event will not provide refunds.

Age Groups/Awards:

Age group divisions are 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+. The overall male and female finishers and the first place finishers in the each age group will receive an award.

Same Day Registration and Starting Line

Same day registration will be available from 6:45 to 7:30 a.m. at the wooden bridge for $25 for the 5k without the shirt, $30 for the 5k with the shirt, $30 for the 10k without the shirt, and $35 for the 10k with the shirt. Line for registration will end at 7:30 a.m. in order to ensure an on-time start. We will start at the bridge as well in order to accommodate all the runners and walkers that are anticipated to attend this event.

Timing

Electronic timing for the 5k and 10k will be provided by Strictly Running.

Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick up will be at Fleet Feet (229 Furys Ferry Rd #107, Augusta, GA 30907) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on October 28, 2016. We will also be accepting registrations at this time. $25 for the 5k without the shirt, $30 for the 5k with the shirt, $30 for the 10k without the shirt, and $35 for the 10k with the shirt.

Walkers and Runners of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend this event.
